Clinton is a city in Anderson County, Tennessee, United States. Its population was 9,409 at the United States Census, 2000. It is the county seat of Anderson County.

From about 1895 to 1936 Tennessee was one of the nation's six leading states in marketing pearls. Clinton was listed as one of three Tennessee towns known as centers of the pearling industry. New York dealers came regularly to Clinton during the pearling season. Saturdays were trading days for pearl hunters and buyers. In 1900 Clinch River pearls were featured at the Paris France Exposition.
Museum of Appalachia - A 65-acre working rural farm village with animals and gardens. Featuring 30 original cabins and buildings. Over 250,000 items. Large gift and craft shop.
River Ridge Farm - Located on the banks of the Clinch River below Norris Dam, they offer a variety of experiences: Draft horse-pulled wagon rides from one to two hours, fall color tours and guided spring flower tours ranging from two to four hours and picnic shelters.
The Appalachian Arts Crafts Center is one of the oldest craft co-ops in Tennessee with over 70 local artists. Their goal is to promote the Appalachian artists through education and sales.
Opened in 1945, the Ritz was one of the most modern theaters in the South. First-run movies, concerts, gospel singings, receptions and miscellaneous meetings. The Ritz Theater is on the National Register of Historic places.
